About the Role

Monks is looking for a Producer skilled in design, animation, and large-scale video editing. This role will focus on creating content within the sports world—with a clear emphasis on MLS and MLB — though prior sports experience is not required.

You’ll work closely with clients and lead a dedicated global team producing high-quality content and assets for product interfaces of one of the world's most recognizable brands. Client-facing experience is essential.

This mid-level position requires prior experience in digital advertising, transcreation, asset creation, and/or integrated production, along with a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver top-quality projects.

Working Hours & Schedule

  • This role supports live sports coverage across MLS, MLB, and F1. During active season (Feburary - November), the schedule regularly includes evenings and weekend coverage, typically following a Wednesday - Sunday workweek, and the standard working hours during the season are approximately 2:00 -10:00 pm PST, aligned to live event windows and league calendars. Schedules are planned and communicated in advance.
  • This a full-time, exempt role.

Role

  • You’ll partner with one of our biggest clients to produce digital advertising assets that require our in-house teams to deliver quality and quantity.
  • You are responsible for the process and completion of multiple design & animation projects simultaneously, managing the in- and output of our Design, Illustration, and Animation Monks.
  • A quality watchdog, you work closely together with our Program/Project Managers and production teams across several time zones to make sure pixels are pushed to perfection.
  • You make sure that the work meets the client’s strategy, brand, and creative goals, as well as our own quality standards.
  • As part of Monks, you are part of an international production company, with 7,000+ Monks from all production disciplines working together to craft the best of work.

Responsibilities

  • A big part of your day-to-day involves briefing team members on delivery objectives and keeping teams and key stakeholders promptly informed on project progress to meet fast-paced, quick turnaround deadlines.
  • You make sure deadlines are met with lethal precision, and flag the ones that aren’t attainable upfront.
  • You schedule, track, and prioritize assignments and make sure the right resources (we mean people of course!) are available.
  • You liaise between clients and teams to make sure Monks nails milestone after milestone, hustling internal resources to meet external deadlines.
  • You’ll guide the creative workflow of a designer in your region, leading with passion and care, working closely alongside a partner team in APAC.
  • You work closely with the client during live games to approve visuals and publish to the client’s platform.

Requirements

  • Full-time position, Wednesday–Sunday working schedule. Weekends are required to process content during live games.
  • You have at least 4+ years of hands-on experience doing awesome work as a Producer or Project Manager in digital advertising or creative production.
  • Fluent English communication is a must.
  • You have a solid understanding of the creative workflow of fast-paced design and animation projects.
  • You also have sufficient technical knowledge to foresee and address possible planning/production issues, translating the complexity of such projects into lucid language that clients can understand.
  • We need a true-born and fun-loving team player who can successfully work across teams, time zones, and technologies.
  • You can collaborate comfortably with digital artisans, including creatives, illustrators, designers, 2D animators, 3D animators, and concept artists.
  • Setting up and managing production projects between offices is no easy task and requires superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Spreadsheets are your natural habitat, project management tools your best friend (e.g., TeamGantt, 10,000ft, Basecamp, Post-it notes).
  • You break the ice, instead of breaking a sweat, when in front of the client and when facing ambiguity.
  • You have the experience and tools to solve problems in your back pocket, and you're not afraid to use them as needed.
