Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

With decades of industry experience, they provide tailored solutions including blinds, shutters, curtains, and outdoor shading systems. Known for their personalised service and attention to detail, they focus on delivering functional, stylish, and long-lasting results for every project.

Role Overview: To increase qualified leads and revenue through strategic management of Google Ads and SEO, ensuring strong visibility in our local market and a measurable return on marketing investment.

Key Responsibilities:

Google Ads (High Priority)

  • Create, manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, Remarketing).
  • Conduct keyword research focused on high-converting, local intent search terms.
  • Improve Quality Scores and reduce cost per lead.
  • Monitor daily campaign performance and adjust bids, budgets and targeting.
  • Implement conversion tracking (calls, forms, website actions).
  • A/B test ad copy and landing pages to improve performance.
  • Provide weekly performance reports including:
    • Cost per lead
    • Conversion rates
    • ROI
    • Recommendations for improvement

SEO (High Priority)

  • Conduct full SEO audit and implement improvements.
  • On-page SEO optimisation (meta titles, descriptions, headers, internal linking).
  • Keyword research targeting local search terms in Victoria.
  • Improve local SEO (Google Business Profile optimisation, citations, local backlinks).
  • Develop and implement backlink strategy.
  • Work with web developer (if required) to improve:
    • Site speed
    • Mobile optimisation
    • Technical SEO issues
  • Create SEO content strategy including blogs and service pages.
  • Track and report on rankings and organic traffic growth monthly.

Social Media (Secondary Priority)

  • Develop simple, consistent content strategy.
  • Schedule posts for brand awareness and engagement.
  • Align social content with SEO and advertising strategy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Increase in qualified monthly leads.
  • Reduced cost per lead.
  • Improved Google search rankings for key terms.
  • Growth in organic traffic.
  • Improved Google Business Profile visibility.
  • Measurable ROI on ad spend.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience managing Google Ads.
  • Proven SEO experience with measurable results.
  • Strong understanding of local SEO.
  • Experience using:
    • Google Ads
    • Google Analytics
    • Google Search Console
    • Keyword research tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Excellent written English.
  • Ability to work independently and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Experience working with Australian businesses preferred.
