Scope of Work

Edit and proofread legal transcripts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness
Apply correct legal terminology, formatting, grammar, and punctuation
Research and verify legal terms, procedures, and references as needed
Meet firm deadlines while managing workload efficiently
Uphold high quality standards across all assigned transcripts

Experience and Skills

Minimum of 2 years of verbatim legal transcription experience
Strong familiarity with a range of legal document formats
Ability to consistently produce at least 300 pages per week
Exceptional attention to detail and command of legal terminology
Strong typing, listening, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a production team
Must be located in the United States

Experience working in MAXScribe a plus
Formal training or certification in legal transcription or court reporting preferred

Processor: Intel i5 or better or AMD Ryzen 5 or above with a minimum speed of 2GHz
Hard drive: 250 GB or larger
Memory: 12 GB minimum, 16 GB recommended
Operating system: Windows 10 version 22H2 or Windows 11
Sound card with speakers or stereo headphones
Monitor resolution of 1920 x 1080 or higher
Internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload
Macintosh computers are not supported
