Digital Engineering Studio Lead
We are looking for a highly motivated software Engineering Studio Lead to envision creative and scalable software development solutions for our global clients. This is a pivotal role, responsible for developing and implementing the vision for Dura Digital’s Digital Engineering Studio, defining the direction and roadmaps we go to market with, and building the team, capabilities, and operational efficiencies to scale. The ideal candidate will bring the perfect blend of business acumen and tech experience, taking our studio to new levels and being the go-to person for our software engineering innovation efforts, both internally at Dura Digital and externally for our clients. This individual will not be afraid to push boundaries and influence our tech services, culture, and digital solutions. You will be an integral part of our envisioning and innovation efforts, overseeing projects from conception to execution and elevating the work that our diverse and global team of consultants do to enable our clients to achieve their business goals.
You will also provide technical expertise in multiple areas to enable our team members to make the right choices including designing overall technological architecture and technical design decisions for multiple assets. As an Engineering Lead with Dura Digital, you will lead and provide hands-on guidance on skill development to all team members, while providing the technical expertise in multiple areas to help the team make the right design choice. Additionally, you will work with team members in North America and Latin America to align the business and tech roadmap and build components, as well as ensuring high team productivity using agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Drive overall growth of the Engineering Studio at Dura Digital, through strategy development, thought leadership, employee professional development and talent management, and oversight and program execution.
- Lead the Engineering Studio in an agile environment, by providing technical guidance, best practices, and strong mentorship.
- Identify opportunities for growth/maturation of software engineering offerings and set the direction for that growth.
- Embrace being a technology leader and practitioner, balancing both as required to grow the studio.
- Empower a growing team of software engineers and technology consultants to deliver world-class solutions for our customers, actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the studio, its processes, and culture.
- Embrace and enhance Dura Digital’s on-shore, near-shore, and hybrid models.
- Oversee the software development process, ensuring appropriate project standards are being followed and embracing and evangelizing the importance of proper architectural choices and methodologies.
- Collaborate iteratively with internal and external teams, creating and adjusting prototypes/solutions according to our clients needs and roadmaps.
- Work collaboratively with Studio leads to create the right solutions for our clients and end users.
- Coordinate with Dura Digital leaders, clients, and industry leaders to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate our customer's goals into effective plans that enable secure, maintainable, scalable, and transformational solutions.
- Educate business and technology stakeholders on value propositions of cloud and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment on various cloud architectures.
- Create feasible solution architectures and collaborate with engineering teams to develop development estimates and implementation plans. Responsible for supporting the architecture aspects of product features and implementation of our cloud solution through deployments and configuration of core product elements for our clients.
- Contribute to and lead client relationship development, and continue to grow Dura Digital’s position as a thought leader in the digital transformation space.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry, and incorporate that knowledge into the design and development of solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical solution design and development and project delivery experience in the tech consulting industry.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, computer engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated skills and experience leading geographically- and culturally-diverse creative teams, preferably in North and Latin America.
- Outstanding presentation skills and communication abilities. Whether the audience is internal or external to Dura Digital, you can sell an idea or concept clearly and confidently.
- Experience with web and mobile application design, including responsive design.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
