Established in 2015, Rat & Boa is the brainchild of friends Valentina Muntoni and Stephanie Bennett. Championing the essence of duality, Rat & Boa is more than a fashion label; it's a celebration of femininity and individuality. With an unwavering focus on women, the designs stand as timeless pieces crafted to elevate every moment of dressing up. Born from a friendship of two distinct aesthetics and a shared desire to create unique pieces, Rat & Boa is a celebration of nostalgic glamour with a modern twist. Each collection tells its own story, interwoven with vivid signature prints, silhouettes and tones. Driven by continued inspiration, we continue to grow, building our Rat and Boa world and exploring new challenges. Rat and Boa have plans to branch into new categories over the coming year, growing into a fully-fledged fashion house.

The role:

Rat & Boa is seeking a talented Junior Digital Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in graphic and motion design, with experience in UX/UI. You will be responsible for designing across all digital platforms, including our website, social media, paid advertising, and email marketing campaigns. 

The main elements of the role are:

• Digital Design: Create visually compelling designs for our website, social media, email marketing, and digital advertising, ensuring alignment with Rat & Boa's brand identity.
• Motion / Video Design: Develop engaging motion graphics for various digital platforms, including animated ads, social media content, and video assets. 
• UX/UI: Contribute to the design and improvement of user experiences on our digital platforms, focusing on both aesthetics and functionality.
• Brand Consistency: Adhere to and evolve Rat & Boa’s brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all digital touchpoints while bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the table.
• Content Pairing: Skillfully combine various content types—such as text, images, and video—into cohesive and visually appealing designs that flow seamlessly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to develop concepts and execute design strategies that support our business goals.
• Adaptability: Stay updated on industry trends and digital design innovations to keep Rat & Boa at the forefront of digital creativity.

Requirements

We want to hear from you if you can demonstrate…

• Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Adobe XD, etc.).
• Experience in motion design and video editing.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and proficiency in Figma.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
• Ability to work within brand guidelines while bringing fresh ideas to the table.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• A portfolio showcasing a range of digital design work, including graphic and motion design projects.
• Previous experience in fashion or e-commerce

It's an added bonus (but not essential) if you have....

• Experience working with luxury fashion brands
• Experience working with creative directors
• Experience working with tools such as Trello
