The key objectives of the Ireland Division is to mobilise the Public to achieve global justice. The Communications Team plays a vital role in mobilising the Irish public by increasing awareness, understanding and consideration of our cause, work and goals, among our target audiences.

 

The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for the delivery of our Communications objectives across all digital platforms owned, earned, shared and paid.


Reporting to Head of Communications, this is a full-time contract of a specified purpose and is based in Maynooth. The incumbent will manage a team of up to 4 professionals. An application can be made for a hybrid working arrangement under the hybrid working policy. The salary for this role is €61,667 depending on experience.

Requirements

Key responsibilities

Strategy development and implementation:

  • Lead on the development and implementation of the Digital Communications strategy.
  • Manage annual work plans for all digital communications.
  • Develop and roll out innovative digital strategies and initiatives, in close collaboration with the colleagues across the organisation.
  • Oversee the development of digital assets to support key activities.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead Trócaire’s Digital Communications Team to continue to be a high performing and dynamic team. Foster a culture of empowered accountability with a coaching style of leadership to enhance team performance and motivation.

 

Cross Functional teamwork:

  • Ensure close collaboration with key cross organisational teams to support achievement of organisational, divisional and team goals.
  • Support all teams to grow their online communities through the creation of bespoke digital strategies and assets.

 

Operational Effectiveness:

  • Ensure the successful delivery of Trócaire’s digital communications plan and meet the agreed key performance indicators. 
  • Provide regular, effective analysis and measurement of Trócaire’s owned digital channels and website performance.
  • Manage relevant budgets.

Skills:

  • Relevant skills and knowledge in digital engagement strategies across key platforms.
  • Very good written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective organisational skills – for planning and delivery of own programme of work while participating in wider programme.
  • Ability to work cross functionally.
  • High level of attention to detail.

 

Experience

  • Significant experience of implementing digital engagement strategies and techniques for a variety of key stakeholders and target groups.
  • Experience of delivering projects within established timelines.
  • Experience of budget management.
  • Proven track record of achieving results
  • Experience of managing cross functional teams

  • Relevant courses and certifications
