We are looking for a Workshop Mechanic to join our Te Kuiti workshop team. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our fleet is serviced, maintained and repaired to a high standard, safely and efficiently.  Your day-to-day will include:

  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment, including trucks, excavators, loaders, and other construction machinery.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues proactively on our plant & equipment.
  • Perform off site service/repairs as required.
  • Maintaining a tidy, well-organised, and efficient workshop.
  • Leading by example in health & safety, quality standards, and Zero Harm principles

You are a practical, hands-on Mechanic who takes pride in your workmanship and enjoys being part of a supportive, team-focused environment.  You’re organised, safety-conscious, and communicate clearly with those around you.  Ideally you will bring;

  • Trade qualified in either diesel or automotive engineering
  • Experience in the heavy transport or construction industry would be advantageous
  • A clean current NZ driver’s licence - minimum Class 4
  • A high standard of workmanship with accurate reporting and paperwork completion
  • Strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and good time management
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and a positive, team-first attitude
