DevSecOps Engineer

TLDR

Design and secure enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, leading security initiatives across engineering teams while driving automation and mentoring future talent.

Key Responsibilities and activities:

• Design, implement and monitor enterprise-grade secure fault-tolerant infrastructure.

• Work with cross-functional teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise

scalable features to support platform and infrastructure security requirements, including

environment monitoring and incident remediation.

• Working closely with InfoSec teams to ensure organizational best practices are followed.

• Assist the team in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating

them to other members of the team

• Integrate newly developed and existing applications into private, public and hybrid cloud

environments

• Automate deployment pipelines in a scalable, secure and reliable manner

• Implement and integrate security in our CI/CD pipelines using tools like sonarqube

• Improvise the security posture of our cloud infrastructure and enable engineering teams to

improvise on application security

• Drive the security initiatives across the engineering teams at Helpshift

• Have a culture of automation where any repetitive work is automated

• Help grow the team by mentoring and interviewing other talented engineers that want to join us.

Requirements

Skills required

• 5+ years experience in a similar role - Cloud Engineer, IT Administrator, Systems Engineer,

DevOps

• Experience with automation/configuration management tool (Jenkins using Groovy scripting,

Terraform, Ansible or an equivalent)

• Experience in Kubernetes (EKS, KUBECTL, HELM).

• Hands on in source code management tools like Git, Bitbucket, SVN etc

• Should have working experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Elasticsearch, SPLUNK, or

any other monitoring tools/processes.

• Understanding of self-healing/immutable microservice based architectures, cloud platforms,

clustering models, networking technologies.

• Good knowledge of AWS cloud and securing AWS infrastructure

• Great interpersonal and communication skills

• Self starter and be able to work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment with minimal

supervision
