Job Summary:

Helpshift is looking for a DevSecOps Specialist within the DevOps team. The individual is expected to bring in experience of Operations and Security using DevOps, and would also support the Infosec function of the organisation in maintaining the infosec posture of the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities and activities:

  • Design, implement and monitor enterprise-grade secure fault-tolerant infrastructure.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise scalable features to support platform and infrastructure security requirements, including environment monitoring and incident remediation.
  • Working closely with InfoSec teams to ensure organizational best practices are followed.
  • Assist the team in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
  • Integrate newly developed and existing applications into private, public and hybrid cloud environments
  • Automate deployment pipelines in a scalable, secure and reliable manner
  • Implement and integrate security in our CI/CD pipelines using tools like sonarqube
  • Improvise the security posture of our cloud infrastructure and enable engineering teams to improvise on application security
  • Drive the security initiatives across the engineering teams at Helpshift
  • Have a culture of automation where any repetitive work is automated
  • Help grow the team by mentoring and interviewing other talented engineers that want to join us.

 

Requirements

Skills required

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role - Cloud Engineer, IT Administrator, Systems Engineer, DevOps
  • Experience with automation/configuration management tool (Jenkins using Groovy scripting, Terraform, Ansible or an equivalent) 
  • Experience in Kubernetes (EKS, KUBECTL, HELM).
  • Hands on in source code management tools like Git, Bitbucket, SVN etc
  • Should have working experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Elasticsearch, SPLUNK, or any other monitoring tools/processes.
  • Understanding of self-healing/immutable microservice based architectures, cloud platforms, clustering models, networking technologies.
  • Good knowledge of AWS cloud and securing AWS infrastructure
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self starter and be able to work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
