Project Description
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is modernizing its information technology systems by migrating to a cloud-based environment in alignment with the federal Cloud Smart initiative. To enable this transformation, USCIS established the Enterprise Gateway and Integration Services (EGIS) program, which provides a unified, scalable framework for securely connecting and sharing data across diverse systems and applications.

Position Description

Harmonia is seeking a DevSecOps Developer that will work closely with an Agile development team to create automated tooling to support the Software Development Lifecycle.  Responsible for managing and maintaining the CI/CD pipeline built in Harness, ensuring daily monitoring and compliance with government vulnerability patching standards for backend systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support seamless delivery and system integrity.

The DevSecOps Developer will accomplish the following: 

    • Design, Develop and maintain the continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) solution using Jenkins Shared Libraries in Groovy and similar.
    • Support Cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to build and configure a high performing, scalable, cloud-based infrastructure. 
    • Provide automation of operations to include monitoring, resiliency, and self-healing.
    • Support the deployment of microservices to cloud or on-prem hosted Kubernetes or OpenShift environments.
    • Design, develop, and deploy software in accordance with industry best practices.
    • Perform alpha and beta testing.
  • Monitor systems performance. Monitor application usage and storage, and provide advance warning when thresholds are reached. Provide advice and implementation support to address application high availability issues and requirements.
  • Perform maintenance and software integrations for existing systems.
  • Maintain or exceed compliance with industry standards. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 5+ years of DevOps or DevSecOps experience. 
  • Experience in software engineering.
  • Must have a BA/BS at minimum.
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins.
  • Hands on experience with Docker, GIT, Basic (Java, Python, Yaml) and Terraform
  • Previous experience deploying applications in AWS.
  • Experience and understanding of the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) 
  • Must be proficient with Bash, Python, or similar scripting.
  • Experience with IaaS; implementing scalable cloud-based environments and systems; service-oriented architectures and microservices; deploying resilient, scalable, high-throughput systems that process large amounts of data. 
  • Experience with systems reliability, load balancing, monitoring, logging
  • Have effective verbal and non-verbal communication with peers and clients. 
  • Ability to work in an open team environment. 
  • Security-first mindset 
  • Prior experience working in fully remote capacity. 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Preferable current Public Trust Clearance
