DevOps Team Lead

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Core Team Lead to guide and support a team of DevOps and Software engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, Data services, Kubernetes, and DevOps methodologies, along with leadership experience to drive team success.

What you’ll do:

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Be an integral part in our roadmap planning from project inception and design, through deployment, operations and maintenance.
• Define team goals, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of projects and infrastructure improvements.
• Work closely with other DevOps teams to enhance and drive our unified processes.
• Be a part of architecture designs.
• Focus on both velocity and production stability.
• 20-30% Hands-On work
• Continuously push for modernizing our DevOps practices to help drive for efficiency and better agility throughout the entire company.
• Implement best of breed applications and toolings throughout our entire technology stack to help drive for optimal performance of every pillar of our applications infrastructure
• Build standards and processes that will be used by the other DevOps teams

What you’ll need:

• 2+ years of experience in a managerial or team leadership role, with a focus on mentoring and guiding technical teams.
• At least 3 years of Devops experience hands-on experience 
• At least 3 years of experience in production environment
• At least 3 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure as code - GCP or AWS.
• At least 3 years of experience with K8s and its ecosystem
• Good familiarity with devops aspects and methodologies such as gitops, helm,deployment patterns, CI/CD patterns and implementation.
• Network concepts and WAF experience.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, OpenTofu
• Experience with Datapipelines / Apache beam - advantage
• Cloudflare - Big advantage
• Github, ArgoCD - advantage
