What you will bring to the team 

As a DevOps/Infrastructure Intern, you will be an essential part of our team, supporting the development, deployment, and maintenance of our software applications and infrastructure. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to various tools and technologies used in the DevOps and infrastructure domains. You will work closely with experienced professionals, learning best practices and contributing to the success of our projects.

 

What you will be doing: 

Your typical day as a Toshiba Internwill involve: 

  • Assist engineers in a subset of the following areas as assigned:
    • - Resolve incidents to grant access to the different tools and systems.
    • - Assist in the deployment of applications to development, testing and production environments.
    • - Monitor and optimize build resources for cost efficiency and performance.
    • - Continuous collaboration with other team members and other teams distributed geographically.
    • - Assist developers and support in investigation and troubleshooting of hosting-related product issues.
    • - Contribute to the automation of repetitive tasks using scripting languages (e.g. phyton)
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
    • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and system administrators.
    • - Document processes, procedures, and configurations to maintain clear and up-to-date records.
  • Learning and Professional Development:
    • - Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the DevOps and infrastructure fields.
    • - Learn and apply Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Development (CD) pipelines.
    • - Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills.

 

Naturally, to be successful in this role, you must have and know of: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (students that have at least 1 year left to graduate).
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Linux/Unix systems and command-line interfaces.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus.
  • Strong interest in DevOps practices (Continuous Integration / Continuous Development), automation, and cloud technologies.
  • Fluent English.
