About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work to automate processes, make sure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.

Responsibilities

  • Automate configuration of production systems
  • Ensure that data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Ensure that data is backed up on a regular basis and that the backups work
  • Ensure that the production environment  is observable
  • Ensure that principles of least access are followed
  • Ensure that we are using our production resources in a cost effective manner
  • Ensure compliance

About You

  • 3+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer
  • Strong bias toward automation and efficiency
  • Proficient in managing and deploying cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS/GCP/Azure, etc.)
  • Experienced with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of GitOps principles and workflows
  • Skilled in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficient in database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with observability practices, including metrics, logging, and tracing for applications and infrastructure

Security and Privacy Responsibilities

  • Member of the CSIRT Team
  • Follow our policy and procedure documents related to security and privacy
  • Follow the guidelines in the Employee Handbook
  • Participate in new hire and annual training for security and privacy
  • Treat data security and privacy as one of your primary job responsibilities
  • Report Security Incidents you discover as bugs
  • Get approval from the Security Team before adding new 3rd party software to our codebase
  • Explicitly consider security implications when doing PR reviews.
