DevOps Engineer Senior - (Linux) (REF3344V)

Looking for conscientious and engaged people with a keen interest in IT who want hands-on experience with various technologies in a multi-culture, multi-customer environment.

Tasks:

• Automation tasks within several custom applications of the AT customer (insurance company)
  • Linux, Apache Tomcat, Ansibel, Terraform, Kubernetes, Gitlab, Openshift, Python/Bash/Powershell scripting
• The colleague will have a central role in automation topics in client's specific applications and their associated systems
• In addition to his/her in-depth technical knowledge, also perform consulting tasks and make suggestions on request
• He/she will have to work with colleagues on the application and OS side, seeing through the whole client's environment in the future
• JIRA based ticket administration and documentation
• Participation in customer and vendor calls
• Providing on-call support
• Solving complex problems, doing Root Cause Analysis
• Capacity planning, performance tuning, optimization related activities
• Automation related scripting tasks
• Knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• College/university degree or equivalent certificates or work experience
• At least 5 years experience in a relevant IT field
• Strong & confident knowledge of Linux
• Experience with Kubernetes or Docker container technologies
• Know how in CI/CD Pipeline, Terraform, Ansible, Openshift, ElasticSearch, KAFKA/Cassandra technologies
• Familiarity with scripting: Powershell/Python/Bash language (occasionally scripting in Go is expected)
• Confident knowledge in GitLab/GitHub
• Fluent communicative verbal and written communication skills in English

Advantages:

• Agile methodology knowledge (eg. SCRUM, Kanban board)
• General Cloud basics (Azure is good if available)
• German language in verbal and written form
