DevOps Engineer (REF4950N)

As DevOps Engineer, you will develop advanced technical solutions for the expansion and operation of infrastructure/services, taking them to the next level of quality. For the cloud-native based production environment of packet Core incl. 5G-SA, you will prepare the procedures for the complete life cycle and be the contact person for planning, system integration and troubleshooting.

Your main tasks will also include:

• You support highly complex projects directly in development, quality assurance, planning and implementation of product releases
• You develop and create strategies for automated integration and delivery including the cross-project infrastructure and tool suite
• You elaborate on the development of new deployment strategies and disaster recovery plans
• You will work closely with the operations team to deploy planned solutions, improve process efficiency and dealing intensively with innovative topics and concepts

You have a university degree with a focus on computer science or a comparable qualification and already have several years of professional experience in the DevOps environment.

Furthermore, you are characterized by the following knowledge and skills:

• Very good experience in classic and agile forms of cooperation
• Experience with cloud technologies such as CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenStack
• Good knowledge of microservice architecture and cloud-based applications and databases
• Basic knowledge of Helm, Istio, Prometheus, Flux.
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of the architecture and call flows of ePC and 5GC
• Very good understanding of the interworking between Packet-Gateway and IMS
• In-depth knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 including functionalities in network routing like OSPF, BGP etc 
• Advantage: Experience in scripting (Python)
• Very good skills in English (writing and speaking)
