We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to modernize and optimize our build and deployment infrastructure while managing the release lifecycle for a suite of applications. This role focuses on transforming legacy Jenkins-based build environments into scalable, containerized solutions, improving artifact management, integrating with modern software lifecycle tools, and ensuring smooth release processes for major and maintenance updates.

You will work in a global DevOps team that supports R&D teams developing software solutions on Windows, Linux and mobile platforms.   

Key Responsibilities

Build Modernization

  • Replace legacy Windows and Linux Jenkins build machines with containerized, ephemeral agents
  • Plan and execute migration from Bitbucket Server to GitHub, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Improve artifact storage and retrieval processes

 

Release Management

  • Coordinate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases for a suite of applications:
    • Major releases: 2–3 times per year
    • Maintenance releases and hotfixes: As needed
  • Improve release workflows and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements

Lifecycle Tool Integration

  • Connect CI/CD pipelines with issue tracking, code quality, and security scanning tools
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for build and release environments

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Jenkins pipelines
  • Expertise in containerization (Docker)
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux build environments
  • Experience with GitHub migration and Git workflows
  • Knowledge of artifact management tools such as Nexus, Artifactory
  • Hands-on experience with release management processes for multi-application environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps lifecycle tools (Jira, SonarQube, security scanners)
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Understanding of CI/CD best practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Fluent Polish
  • Proficient in written and verbal English (working in the international environment)
  • Ability to work at least 3 days a week from our office in Gliwice

 

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with cloud-based CI/CD (AWS)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD and Helm
  • Knowledge of SOC2 compliance or other security standards
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus and Grafana)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a similar technical University degree
