DevOps Engineer- Mid-level

What you will be doing

As a DevOps Engineer, you will build, support and maintain cloud, on-premises and virtual environments. You will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment pipelines, and you will also implement and maintain security tooling to identify outdated dependency versions, known CVEs, and other potential vulnerabilities.

You will deploy Cloud and Hybrid Cloud software products, aid in creating and monitoring software as a service (SaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) environments, develop capabilities to monitor system health and assist the team in moving to a continuous integration continuous deployment (CI/CD) model by creating pipelines to automatically keep systems up to date and properly configured.

What you will need:

• Deep practical experience with Fedora Linux distributions
• Practical deployment and management experience using CloudFormation, GitLab, SonarQube, Terraform, Nomad, Packer, Vault, Consul, etc.
• Experience with AWS implementations using EC2, ELB, R53, S3, Lambda, SFN, etc.
• Practical experience with creating automated solutions for manual processes via scripting (e.g., Java, Bash, Python3, PowerShell, etc.)
• Ability to adapt to quickly changing requirements
• Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• A current or recently held Secret or above security clearance
• Proven experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/iterative methodologies
• A desire to leverage emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions
• Ability to work independently or with others as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong system administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment
• Exposure to or experience with Azure
• Knowledge of integrating Hybrid-cloud services with multi-cloud and on-premises technologies
• Experience with creating/maintaining environments to support multi-regional production deployments
• Experience with containerization (primarily Docker) and deployments
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications on cloud-native microservices architectures
• Experience in implementing and configuring CIS benchmarks for system hardening and security compliance
• Experience with proper package versioning conventions

Active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this role. 

Salary range:

$51,007.00 - $198,871.00 (Annually)*
