DevOps Engineer (IAC2225)

We are looking for a committed DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. Solve unique, challenging problems for our Defense and Homeland Security customers. Help manage large volumes of critical, real-time information about issues from global to local. Get s#it done.

This position requires a US Secret security clearance. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance required. This position will require one to be onsite at least 60% of the time and within a 30 mile distance of either Tampa, FL or Alexandria, VA.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery of software products across different cloud, virtual, and custom-built environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation, deployment, performance, and security
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and Terraform to solve deployment problems for diverse environments
  • Provide subject matter expertise on infrastructure components, to include assistance with maintenance, configuration
  • Support the development environment of cutting-edge military and national defense related applications on various DEVOPS and cloud / big data environments
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools for improving the automation and deployment processes
  • Document and update the automation and deployment procedures and best practices

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

  • BS in Computer Science, equivalent degree, or equivalent previous work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Linux (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu) system administration supporting both development and production environments
  • Solid understanding of devops principles and practices, such as agile development, version control, configuration management, testing, and monitoring
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services, such as AWS and Azure, and their features and capabilities
  • Previous experience with Azure is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Vagrant
  • Knowledge of networking and security concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, SSH, and VPN
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies, and to adapt to changing requirements and environments
  • Experience with micro-services and micro-services architectures
  • Proficiency in Ansible as the main scripting language for automation and orchestration, and ability to write and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, modules, and inventories
  • Experience with Terraform as a tool for infrastructure as code, and ability to write and manage Terraform configurations and state files
  • Experience with other automation and deployment tools, such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle, and Chef
  • Experience with Linux and ability to perform system administration tasks, such as installing, configuring, and updating software and hardware
  • Experience with various programming languages, such as Python, Java, Ruby, and Bash, and ability to write and debug code and scripts
  • Experience with performance tuning Linux systems and services
  • Experience with cloud and virtualization technologies, in particular: AWS, KVM, VMware
  • Experience creating secure systems and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Atlassian products
