We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer (medior level) to join our team in Hamburg, Germany, who is passionate about cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes-based platforms. 

In this role, you’ll play a key part in developing and maintaining scalable infrastructure, supporting Kubernetes-based microservices, and ensuring reliable CI/CD processes across environments. Kubernetes is a core focus of the role, complemented by either Go development skills or AWS cloud experience (or both). You will contribute to automation and internal tooling, including Go-based utilities and platform components, and support operational tooling within Kubernetes and AWS in close collaboration with developers, QA, and deployment teams.

Tasks

What you'll do as DevOps Engineer – Go & Kubernetes (m/f/d):
  • Design, operate, support, and continuously improve production Kubernetes environments (on-prem Kubernetes clusters, managed Kubernetes services, OpenShift ...)
  • Work with AWS-based infrastructure and tooling, following cloud and security best practices 
  • Contribute to automation and internal tooling, including Go-based operators and controllers
  • Support deployment and operation of cloud-native microservices
  • Collaborate closely with developers to improve reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
  • Improve monitoring and observability
  • Support troubleshooting and incident resolution for internal teams

Requirements

What you bring as DevOps Engineer – Go & Kubernetes (m/f/d):
We are open to different skill combinations, strong Kubernetes experience is mandatory.

Must-haves
  • Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes-based platforms in production
  • Experience working with containerized, cloud-native applications and modern DevOps practices
  • Strong experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Go development for in-house operators and controllers, or
    • AWS cloud services (e.g. EKS, IAM, EC2, S3)
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc. is a plus)
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
Nice to have
  • Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code exposure (e.g. Terraform)
  • Security best practices and compliance exposure
  • Telecom or networking background
