Development Coordinator

$26 per hour

TLDR

Support day-to-day fundraising operations with accuracy in donor data management, communications, and administrative tasks, enhancing engagement and retention efforts.

The Development Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of Right To Be’s fundraising efforts by ensuring accurate donor data, timely communications, and strong administrative systems. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives on building and maintaining systems that support donor engagement and retention. This is a part time (15 hours/week), non-exempt role reporting to the Vice President of Movement Building and Programs.

Responsibilities:

Donor Operations & Data Management (~50%)

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in Salesforce
  • Process all donations and ensure proper tracking across platforms
  • Run routine Salesforce reports to support fundraising efforts
  • Track donor activity, including renewals, engagement, and key dates (e.g. credit card expirations)
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems

Donor Communications & Stewardship (30%)

  • Prepare and send donor acknowledgment letters on a weekly basis
  • Support donor email communications in partnership with the communications team
  • Track donor touchpoints and ensure timely follow-ups
  • Maintain templates and systems for donor communications

Campaign & Fundraising Support (10%)

  • Support execution of fundraising campaigns (e.g., annual giving, end-of-year)
  • Assist with donor list pulls, segmentation, and tracking
  • Help prepare materials and logistics for donor outreach efforts

Administrative (10%)

  • Maintain the Development inbox and internal tracking systems
  • Update internal documentation (e.g., processes, wiki pages)
  • Support donor event logistics and invitations as needed
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or the Executive Team.

Requirements

The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:

  • A professional with a strong commitment to Right To Be’s mission
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, results-driven, and motivated by project management and deadlines
  • Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally
  • 2-4 years client-facing experience
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, results-driven
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce, or a similar donor database
  • Preferred experience with donor events, such as Galas.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others
  • Flexibility with work tasks
  • Quick-thinker: can synthesize a great amount of information into clear take-aways and next steps
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with aggressive growth plans
  • Eager to take on challenges with a sense of humor

The compensation for this role is $26.44/hr, 15 hrs/week.
