Developer Relations Manager

TLDR

Drive technical engagement through community building and content creation for an innovative AI safety startup focused on optimizing AI system policies.

TLDR: We’re looking for a Developer Relations Manager who will help developers understand what White Circle does, why it matters, and how to use it — by creating strong technical content, building an active community, and representing the product publicly.

About us

White Circle is an AI Safety company building the safety, reliability, and optimization layer for AI systems. At the core of our platform are policies – simple natural-language rules that define what an AI model should and shouldn’t do. We automatically test, enforce, and continuously improve these policies at scale.

  • We’ve raised $11M from founders and senior leaders at OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, Mistral, DeepMind, Datadog, Sentry, Amazon, and others

  • We process over 100 million API calls every month

  • We train our own LLMs so they run faster and cheaper than any open or proprietary models

We’re a small, highly focused team. If you want to work deeply on hard problems, see your work ship to production quickly, and influence how AI safety is actually built – you’re the one we need.

What you'll do

  • Own White Circle’s public technical presence: developer documentation, blog posts, technical articles, videos, demos, and tutorials

  • Build and grow a developer community around our product: engage with developers, organize hackathons and meetups, and collaborate with community leaders

  • Own and run White Circle’s developer-facing social channels: X, LinkedIn, and others

  • Help translate a complex product into something developers can quickly understand, try, and talk about

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in Developer Relations / Developer Advocacy or similar roles at strong technical companies or fast-growing startups

  • A public track record: blog posts, talks, videos, documentation, open-source contributions, or community work you’re proud of

  • Strong technical intuition in AI / ML: you know what LLM-as-a-Judge is, have opinions on TPU vs GPU inference, and can happily spend two hours arguing about AGI if someone lets you

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex ideas without oversimplifying

  • Bonus: experience in security, infrastructure, observability, and developer-first products

What will help you stand out

  • A proven audience on X/LinkedIn/Substack/similar (e.g. 10k+ followers)

Why White Circle

  • 20 days of paid vacation

  • Work from Paris (hybrid) + relocation package

  • All the hardware, tools, and services you need

  • Team off-sites twice a year: we’ve recently been to the Alps and to Saint-Tropez

  1. Pass an Intro call with one of our team members

  2. Complete the take-home exercise

  3. Show your best during the technical interview
