Summary
Ideas United is offering a summer internship to a few creative, hardworking individuals who are curious about pursuing careers in the creative world! Summer design interns will discover, hands-on, what working in a fast-paced agency is all about. Our Summer Design Intern will combine imagination with problem solving — flexing and elevating skills in creativity, strategy, and execution — while gaining vital experience within an established and innovative agency.
Internship runs from May 19th to August 6th
$16.50/hr
20-25 hours a week
What you’ll do:
Learn the role and responsibilities of each team within iU
Work closely with your intern manager that will guide and assign your tasks
Shadow projects and gain knowledge of the project lifecycle
Attend meetings and participate in project brainstorms
Work with fellow interns on internal projects/tasks, leading design to present to internal stakeholders
Assist in pitch presentations by compiling reference media and editing layouts
Creative support in day-to-day operations with the design leads
Develop concepts, campaign materials, social content, pitch presentations, and more
Learn how to use Design Thinking and a human-centered approach to creating impactful designs
What you'll have:
Passion and desire to learn about the creative industry
Off the charts curiosity and a take-action mindset
Connection to the iU purpose and mission
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Availability to work during the entire summer program
Adaptability in the face of unexpected challenges
Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Experience in web based prototyping such as Figma or XD is preferred, but not required
