The Role

As a Design & Engineering Manager, you will lead and coordinate a team of three professionals responsible for the architectural and interior design of our retail stores across Greece and Cyprus. This role is fully hands-on, combining active design involvement with the supervision and technical guidance of the team.

You will play a key part in shaping the customer experience within our stores, ensuring every new opening, remodel, or refurbishment reflects our brand identity, functionality, and innovation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, guide, and support a team of architects and designers, ensuring project quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Actively participate in the design and development of architectural layouts, interior concepts, and store prototypes.
  • Oversee the creation of floor plans, technical drawings, and 3D visualizations, providing input and validation where needed.
  • Coordinate material and finish selections to ensure cohesive and functional design outcomes aligned with brand aesthetics.
  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial, Retail, and Visual Merchandising teams to align store design with operational and customer experience objectives.
  • Supervise the preparation of technical documentation required for permitting, construction, and project handover.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability principles.
  • Introduce innovative materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices for retail environments.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, maintaining visibility on timelines, deliverables, and resources.
  • Act as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners (architects, contractors, vendors).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering (Master’s degree or Civil Engineering background will be considered a plus).
  • Minimum 4 years of proven experience in architectural and interior design, ideally in retail or commercial environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring design teams, while remaining hands-on in project execution.
  • Excellent technical skills with proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or 3ds Max will be considered a plus.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles, materials, and building codes.
  • Portfolio demonstrating high-quality retail or commercial design work.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across multiple business functions.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for project documentation and reporting.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.
