Skin Cancer and Reconstructive Surgery Center (SCARS Center) is looking to train and develop a dermatology physician assistant. We provide a 6 month training track followed by an opportunity for a full or part time position within our organization. This is a structured program available for recent graduates who may not have yet obtained all credentials for independent practice and billing.



The SCARS Center Team. When you join SCARS Center, one of the leading multi specialty medical groups in Southern California, you will work closely with our physicians who are acclaimed mentors and teachers. We offer unparalleled professional development to become a clinical expert and grow as a clinical leader.

This education will occur under the direct supervision of Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons. Our monthly Skin Cancer Conference as well as a Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Conference deepens learning and knowledge of our clinicians. Affiliation with Appearance Center of Newport Beach exposes the fellowhip participants to cosmetic dermatology. Employment afterwards provides opportunity for continued learning and mentoring in cosmetic dermatology. Our fellowship graduates have all become successful and respected experts in the field.

Candidate Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program
  • Current CA Medical Board Physician Assistant licensure
  • Current DEA licensure
  • Current certification in:
    • ACLS
    • BLS


Salary: commensurate with knowledge and productivity with progression to a market salary.
