Trilogy Federal is seeking an Deputy Project Manager to support Technology Business Management (TBM) initiatives for the VA Office of Information and Technology (OIT), IT Budget and Finance (ITBF). The Deputy PM works under the direction of the Project Manager to support day-to-day execution of enterprise IT financial management projects, ensuring delivery of milestones, coordination across workstreams, and adherence to project governance and federal requirements.
This role supports the successful implementation and sustainment of TBM practices by assisting with project planning, stakeholder coordination, risk tracking, reporting, and solution adoption activities. The Deputy PM serves as a key operational lead, enabling the Project Manager to focus on executive engagement, strategic alignment, and overall program oversight. This position is available as a hybrid role in Arlington, VA, or full-time remote work.

Primary Responsibilities:
Support the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and monitoring of TBM initiatives, ensuring alignment with ITBF priorities, federal regulations, and executive directives.
Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and dependencies, and track progress against established baselines.
Coordinate day-to-day activities across cross-functional teams, including technical, analytical, and training resources, to support implementation and adoption of TBM/Apptio solutions.
Track risks, issues, and change requests, supporting mitigation planning and escalation as needed.
Support project governance activities, including documentation, compliance tracking, and quality assurance.
Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and briefing materials to support executive-level reporting and stakeholder communications.
Support Agile execution by assisting with sprint planning, backlog tracking, and retrospectives, as applicable.
Facilitate communication across stakeholders to ensure clarity of requirements, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of project or program management experience supporting IT or IT financial management initiatives.
Familiarity with TBM concepts and exposure to Apptio or similar platforms.
Experience supporting projects in a federal or government environment.
Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe certification, or similar.
VA or Federal experience preferred.
Experience working in an Agile environment (SAFe preferred).
