We are seeking an experienced Deputy Controller with deep expertise in Indian statutory accounting, taxation, and compliance, combined with hands-on NetSuite experience. This role will own end-to-end accounting operations for Indian entities while ensuring full compliance with Indian regulatory requirements and alignment with global accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for Indian legal entities Ensure accurate GL accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries in NetSuite Review trial balances and financial statements for accuracy and completeness Partner with global finance teams to align close timelines and reporting standards Indian Compliance & Statutory Reporting Ensure full compliance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS / Companies Act, 2013) Manage statutory audits, including coordination with external auditors Oversee preparation and filing of: GST returns (GSTR-1,GSTR-3B, reconciliation) TDS / TCS returns Advance tax and income tax filings MCA filings and statutory financial statements Monitor changes in Indian tax and regulatory requirements and implement updates proactively Taxation Oversee GST accounting, reconciliations, and audits Review TDS deductions, challans, and returns Support transfer pricing documentation in coordination with tax advisors Partner with external tax consultants for assessments and notices Systems & Process Excellence (NetSuite) Act as NetSuite accounting subject-matter expert for Indian entities Configure and maintain: Chart of Accounts Tax codes (GST, TDS) Entity and subsidiary structures Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation Support NetSuite enhancements, integrations, and reporting improvements Internal Controls & Governance Maintain strong internal controls aligned with global policies Ensure audit readiness and compliance with SOX-like control frameworks (where applicable) Document accounting policies, procedures, and workflows Stakeholder Collaboration Serve as primary finance contact for Indian auditors,tax advisors, and regulators Collaborate with US / global finance, FP&A,payroll, and legal teams Provide clear financial insights and explanations to non-finance stakeholders Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CA (Chartered Accountant) required 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in India Strong hands-on NetSuite experience (minimum 3+ years preferred) Deep knowledge of: Indian GAAP / Ind AS GST, TDS, income tax, MCA compliance Experience managing statutory audits and tax filings Advanced Excel skills; strong financial analysis capabilities Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a multinational or US-headquartered company Prior experience in SaaS, technology, or fast-growing environments NetSuite certifications (a plus) Exposure to SOX or global internal control frameworks Key Competencies Exceptional attention to detail Strong ownership mindset and accountability Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment Clear written and verbal communication (English required) Proactive, solution-oriented approach to compliance and process improvement Why Join Us Opportunity to own India accounting operations end-to-end Exposure to global finance leadership and decision-making Modern ERP environment (NetSuite) Competitive compensation and growth opportunities
