Demo Clerk - Part Time

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Part Time - Tasting Expert  to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the face of our brand, engaging with guests and sharing your passion for food. The Tasting Expert will intentionally interact with guests to share product knowledge, gather feedback, highlight unique flavours and ingredients, and enhance guest’s overall experience.

Position:     Part Time - Tasting Expert  

Reporting to:   Assistant Store Manager

What you’ll do:

• Prepare identified products to sample to guests as they shop.
• Take the initiative to actively engage with guests, encourage them to sample and purchase the product.
• Provide exceptional service to Longo’s guests and being prepared to speak to and answer questions about the product being sampled, including product ingredients.
• Set up and take down of the Tasting Expert sampling station.
• Achieve store specific sales targets for items sampled by converting samples to sales. 
• Represent the Longo’s brands and our vendor brands through the products being sampled in a professional and positive manner 
• Fill out sampling report including number of samples distributed and comments from Guests once the sampling is complete.
• Maintain product quality by date checks and product rotation.
• Follow Food, Health and Workplace Safety standards.

What we are looking for:

• Experience selling products with sales targets in a retail environment an asset. 
• Strong guest service skills and doesn’t shy away from actively engaging with guests.
• Enjoys working individually as well as in a team setting.
• Passion for food and excited to work in the food and retail industry.
• Availability to be flexible throughout the week with mandatory availability Thursday-Sunday.

Work Environment:

• You will work in a store retail environment, specifically sampling products on the store sales floor.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends
