🏅 The Role

We're hiring a Demand Generation Marketer. Your job is to make tem findable, credible, and easy to act on. You own the digital demand engine: the website, paid acquisition, organic search (SEO and GEO), and conversion rate optimisation. When a broker searches for an energy supplier, when a procurement manager asks AI how to buy energy, when a business lands on our site and decides whether to get in touch, that's your territory.

This is a hands-on execution role. You turn ambiguity into plans and delivery. You don't wait for detailed briefs. You take strategic direction, translate it into campaigns, experiments, and optimisations, and ship results within 2-week sprint cycles.

You'll work alongside an AI Growth Specialist to create high-leverage campaigns and assets. You'll also work closely with the Content team, Lifecycle Marketing, ABM, Community and Product Marketing.

🚀 Responsibilities

Website & Conversion Rate Optimisation

  • Own tem's website as a commercial asset: the full conversion funnel from landing page to qualified lead.

  • Run a systematic CRO programme with a high pace of insight and evolution.

  • Build and maintain conversion funnel dashboards broken down by channel, segment, and product line.

  • Create and iterate campaign-specific landing pages to support product launches, broker onboarding, and enterprise lead gen.

Digital Paid Acquisition

  • Own paid digital channels end-to-end: strategy, execution, budget management, and performance reporting.

  • Run Google Ads (Search, Display, Performance Max) targeting brokers, SME decision-makers, and generators, with keyword strategy aligned to product launches and seasonal energy procurement cycles.

  • Run LinkedIn Ads (Sponsored Content, InMail, Conversation Ads) targeting broker principals, energy managers, and procurement leads.

  • Manage cross-platform retargeting to re-engage website visitors and nurture known contacts.

  • Steward paid media budget with weekly spend pacing and ROAS reporting. Recommend budget shifts based on performance data.

  • Work with Content and Brand on ad creative. Own the feedback loop between performance data and creative iteration.

  • Note: we are open to agency support for paid execution. If that's the model, you own the agency relationship, strategy, briefs, and performance accountability.

SEO & GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation)

  • Own keyword strategy, on-page optimisation, technical SEO (crawl management, indexation, schema markup, site architecture), and link building.

  • Commission SEO-driven content briefs to the Content team based on keyword gaps and search intent mapping.

  • Own GEO: the practice of ensuring tem is cited, referenced, and recommended by AI models (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.) when users ask questions about energy procurement, renewable matching, or broker services.

  • Run regular AI visibility audits: query AI platforms with tem-relevant prompts and track whether tem appears in AI-generated responses.

  • Work with Content and Product Marketing to structure content for AI extractability: FAQ formats, direct answers, statistical claims with citations, structured data tables.

  • Leverage tem's proprietary transaction data by collaborating with other teams to package it into benchmarks, indices, and market reports that AI models cite as authoritative.

Martech & Tooling

  • Own the performance and growth layer of the marketing stack: Google Ads, GA4, Google Search Console, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, SEO platform (Ahrefs/SEMrush), CRO tool (VWO/Optimizely), and heatmapping tool (Hotjar/Clarity).

  • Ensure paid and organic lead sources are properly attributed in HubSpot. Maintain UTM conventions and tracking integrity.

  • Proactively research and recommend new tools with business cases and expected ROI.

🎯 Success Measures

This role is succeeding when:

  • Your bets are measurably yielding quality pipeline.

  • You have a repeatable framework/process for shipping quality demand gen assets, campaigns, and workflows.

  • Paid channels drive business below our CAC target.

  • tem appears in AI-generated responses for at least 5 core commercial queries (GEO visibility).

  • A minimum of 2 CRO experiments ship every sprint cycle, with clear learnings documented.

  • Sprint delivery rate exceeds 80% of committed tasks.

  • The content team has a steady pipeline of keyword-driven briefs that result in published, ranking content.

🎯 Requirements

Must haves

  • 3+ years in a demand generation, performance marketing, or growth marketing role in B2B.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads, including managing five-figure monthly budgets and optimising for pipeline (not just clicks).

  • Solid technical and on-page SEO literacy. Experience with site architecture, schema markup, and content-led SEO strategies. Ability to use web and AI tools to optimise impact.

  • Hands-on CRO experience: you've run A/B tests and can design experiment roadmaps.

  • Advanced analytics user. Can build custom reports, set up conversion tracking, and troubleshoot attribution (doesn’t have to be GA).

  • Comfortable managing Framer and building landing pages without developer support.

  • Uses AI tools daily to accelerate work. Curious about GEO and willing to pioneer our approach.

  • Ability to use Claude, Gemini, or similar tools to write and deploy code (if you have a GitHub account, add it to your CV).

  • Can demonstrate consistent delivery and personal accountability in a fast-paced, sprint-based environment.

Bonus points

  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Familiarity with broker/channel marketing and partner ecosystems.

  • Experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub.

  • Basic HTML/CSS for landing page customisation.

  • Practical experience with GEO or AEO strategies (this is so new that hands-on experience is rare; genuine curiosity and willingness to experiment is the real requirement).

  • Experience managing agency relationships for paid media execution.

We're an AI-first company. We expect candidates to use AI tools. But we want to see judgement, not just output.

Use AI if it helps. But:

  1. Be honest: Show us what AI generated and what you created or edited.

  2. Show judgement: We want to see where you override AI and why.

  3. Be practical: What tools? What prompts? What actually worked vs. in theory?

  4. Maintain quality: AI-accelerated ≠ AI-written. Your thinking is what we're hiring.
