Togetherwork is seeking an experienced Product Lead to own and evolve our cross-product Payments Platform. This role is responsible for defining, building, and embedding scalable payments capabilities across more than 20 Togetherwork products enabling consistent insight, improved decision-making, and measurable customer value.
As a senior individual contributor, the Product Lead will own the payments roadmap, partner closely with Engineering and Design, and drive day-to-day execution through detailed backlog ownership and active participation in Scrum ceremonies. This role blends strategic platform thinking with hands-on delivery, requiring strong judgment, operational rigor, and the ability to influence without authority.
This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of platform strategy, customer experience, and execution—someone comfortable operating across teams, presenting to stakeholders, engaging customers directly, and translating complex needs into high-quality, shipped capabilities.
Own and evolve a multi-quarter roadmap for an AI-enabled, cross-product payments platform.
Align platform strategy with broader portfolio objectives, business priorities, and customer needs.
Identify customer, partner, and internal payments challenges across product lines and translate them into strategic opportunities.
Partner with senior product leadership to ensure roadmap direction supports Togetherwork’s long-term platform vision.
Lead product discovery using customer insights, usage data, experimentation, and iterative validation.
Translate platform strategy into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized product themes.
Serve as the day-to-day decision-maker for engineering teams on scope, priorities, and requirements.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to ensure clarity, feasibility, and delivery quality.
Own, prioritize, and maintain a detailed, well-groomed product backlog.
Translate roadmap initiatives into actionable sprint-level work.
Participate fully in Scrum ceremonies, including planning, grooming, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Partner with Delivery Managers to ensure initiatives remain on track and launch on time.
Support onshore, offshore, and blended engineering teams by removing ambiguity and blockers.
Serve as a strong voice of the customer by synthesizing insights from Product, Support, CX, Sales, analytics, and direct engagement.
Monitor platform adoption, performance, and health metrics; identify and act on improvement opportunities.
Ensure customer experience, usability, and clarity are embedded into platform decisions.
Participate in VOC sessions, usability reviews, and customer validation as needed.
Create mockups, workflows, and prototypes in Figma to communicate feature intent and interaction details.
Collaborate with Designers to refine UX flows and ensure alignment with customer needs.
Validate design feasibility with Engineering and iterate as needed to ensure delivery success.
Partner with Revenue, Marketing, CX, and Support to ensure successful platform launches.
Collaborate with vertical Product Managers to prepare release documentation, enablement materials, and customer-facing insights.
Support go-to-market efforts by clearly articulating feature functionality and customer value.
Build strong, trust-based relationships across Engineering, Product, CX, Sales, and Operations.
Communicate roadmap direction, priorities, progress, and risks with clarity and transparency.
Present product updates, sprint outcomes, and roadmap progress to internal and external audiences.
Support portfolio-level initiatives through collaboration with product and platform leadership.
Represent Togetherwork in customer meetings, product demos, research interviews, and industry events as needed.
Bring external insights back into roadmap planning and prioritization.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate discovery, research synthesis, and customer insight analysis.
Use AI to develop hypotheses, identify usage patterns, and improve workflow efficiency.
Model responsible, ethical AI usage within product development processes.
3–5+ years of product management or product owner experience in SaaS or software environments.
Demonstrated experience owning roadmaps, defining requirements, and driving cross-functional execution.
Hands-on experience embedding payments capabilities into customer-facing or internal products.
Strong backlog management, user story writing, and acceptance criteria development skills.
Hands-on experience creating mockups and prototypes in Figma or equivalent tools.
Solid understanding of UX principles, customer research, and product analytics.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Design, Engineering, Delivery Managers, and distributed teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer and stakeholder presentations.
Ability to influence outcomes without formal authority.
Experience working directly with customers and representing products externally.
Familiarity with analytics and engagement tools (e.g., Sigma, Pendo) is a plus.
Experience using AI tools to support product discovery, decision-making, or workflow efficiency is preferred.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and deeply customer-focused.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity while creating clarity for teams.

Willingness to travel for customer engagements or industry events as needed.
