About You

We are seeking a highly accomplished and visionary leader to join us as a Delivery Principal (Delivery Lead). This role sits within one of our Clubs (business unit) within the Operations & Leadership team, whilst leading the delivery capability within a squad. 

This pivotal role is responsible for the professional elevation and growth of our internal talent (ANDi’s) into industry-leading digital experts. You will achieve this through structured programs of technical instruction, mentorship, performance coaching, and the dissemination of thought leadership.

Beyond internal development, you will establish strategic engagement forums to guide clients on optimal problem-solving methodologies and architectural approaches, extending beyond conventional project delivery.

As a Principal, you will collaborate closely with key internal AND stakeholders within the business development lifecycle, leveraging your expertise to rigorously qualify potential opportunities and ensure the maximisation of strategic and commercial value from new client engagements.

The Delivery Part

As a Delivery Principal, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of AND’s engagements. You will be supporting clients and ANDi’s with knowledge of  the most suitable delivery practices. As a result, you will need to be able to:

• Exhibit deep experience as a Project Manager, Programme Manager, Delivery Lead or something similar.
• Have strong understanding of a variety of agile delivery methodologies - particularly Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile approaches(e.g. SAFe, LeSS, Nexus)
• Steer multiple squads or teams at the same time in a complex product development environment. We want to know you are comfortable with the scale and context switching that comes with a role like this.
• Experience with managing Product Delivery Teams, working with software engineers, product analysts, UX Designer and other roles involved in Product Delivery. 
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and a methodical, data driven approach to problem solving.
• Have experience working in a customer facing (either internal or external) environment so that you understand the dynamics of supplier-client relationships.
• Be an active member of the AND Digital Interviewing team.
• Contribute and lead in the Tech and Organisation Strategy practice area, aligning your club with AND’s best practice.

• Remain hands on by championing and influencing the delivery direction of engagements. 
• Provide guidance and advice to clients; be able to observe the problems closely and propose applicable solutions 
• Coach, mentor and upskill a team through implementing delivery practices such as scrum and kanban.
• Be hands-on with development teams; you’ll understand what good looks like and guide them to visualise the bigger picture.
• Give and receive regular feedback to help the community within your Club to develop and be more effective on client projects.
• Identify opportunities for strengthening our relationship and propositions with clients.
