Deli Manager - Waterford

The Cantillon Group, an award-winning convenience retailer in Cork, is on the hunt for a vibrant and talented Deli Manager to join our team at MAXOL, Dunmore Road, Waterford.

Please note this is a Full-Time role with a permanent contract.

This role provides an excellent work-life balance, mainly Monday to Friday, with no late evenings and little to no weekend work, allowing you to enjoy your personal time to the fullest.

You will play a vital role in supporting the front-line operations of our business:

  • Drive sales and elevate customer service to meet departmental KPIs

  • Minimizing waste and maintaining margins

  • Supervise the activities of the team on a daily and on-going basis to ensure necessary tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.

  • Ensure high quality and consistent customer service is provided at all times.

  • Ensuring that the deli is operating in line with our standards, policies, and procedures.

About you

  • Minimum of 2 years of fresh food deli or kitchen experience (Deli Supervisor/Deli Chargehand, Deli Assistant).

  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP is required.

  • Customer driven with great communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Hard-working and flexible, with the ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative.

  • Professional & polite manner is essential.

  • Committed to delivering great customer experiences in a busy environment.

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment and with a willingness to embrace new challenges
