An electrical debug technician identifies and resolves electrical issues on electro/mechanical products, using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic assemblies at the component level. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to interpret schematics, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication with engineering teams to ensure product quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
•Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies, often at the component level.
•Testing and Calibration: Set up, calibrate, and perform tests on circuits, instruments, and assemblies to verify performance.
•Diagnostic Tools: Operate and use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
•Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to identify the source of failures in electronic systems.
•Documentation: Document findings, maintain detailed records, and develop work instructions or debug guides.
•Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to resolve issues, implement fixes, and provide technical support.
•Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by analyzing product performance and suggesting modifications.
•Training: May provide technical assistance and training to other technicians or assembler teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•Technical Aptitude: Solid understanding of electronics, circuit analysis, and hardware systems.
•Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools, schematics, and testing equipment.
•Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to isolate and fix complex technical problems.
•Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with engineering teams.
•Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate fault isolation and documentation.
•Education/Certifications: An associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering is often preferred, along with relevant technical certifications
