The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Debt Recovery Assistant or Paralegal to join our fast-growing Disputes and Litigation practice group. Working with senior lawyers, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of debt recovery matters from instruction to enforcement.

This flexible role can be a hybrid working opportunity with a mix of in-office and remote work, or a fully remote position.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• preparing and filing statements of claim, default judgments, and enforcement documents.
• managing court deadlines and e-filing requirements across NSW Courts and the Federal Court.
• negotiating payment arrangements and settlement terms with debtors.
• liaising with process servers, bailiffs, sheriffs, and enforcement agents.
• maintaining accurate matter records in our practice management system.
• providing regular updates to clients on matter progress.
• supporting lawyers with complex or litigated debt recovery matters.
• providing general administrative and practice support to the Practice Leaders, including preparing cost estimates, managing billing queries, and assisting with practice development initiatives. 
• supporting the wider team with administrative tasks to ensure smooth practice operations and excellent client service delivery.
