Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database management systems.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning for optimization.
Develop and enforce backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Collaborate with development teams to support database-related needs in software projects.
Implement database security measures to protect sensitive data.
Conduct regular database audits to ensure compliance with standards.
Stay current with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience: At least 4 years of experience as a Database Administrator.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in SQL and experience with multiple database systems like Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Knowledge of backup/recovery and high availability solutions.
Familiarity with database security policy enforcement.
Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
