About the Role

Veeam is seeking a Databricks Platform Administrator to join our internal and international data team. You’ll be part of the team building out the next generation of data infrastructure and systems to power Veeam’s Analytics, Data Science, and AI capabilities. You will work closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, and AI teams to ensure the platform’s reliability, security, and performance. 

What You’ll Do

  • Administer and maintain the Databricks platform within Azure, including clusters, jobs, notebooks, and workspace configurations
  • Implement and manage security controls, including user access, role assignments, and compliance with organizational policies
  • Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and ensure optimal cost management
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize ETL pipelines and workflows
  • Automate administrative tasks using scripts, APIs, and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Apply best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and high availability for Databricks workloads
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analyses, and provide timely resolutions
  • Keep up to date with Databricks and Azure feature releases and recommend adoption strategies
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on processes and best practices

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience administering Databricks in Azure environments 
  • Experience with Databricks specific CI/CD best practices in Azure 
  • Data governance and security best practices using Unity Catalog 
  • Strong understanding of Azure services (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor) 
  • Knowledge of Spark architecture and performance tuning 
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and automation scripting 
  • Familiarity with data security, compliance, and governance frameworks 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and change management skills 
  • Ability to travel occasionally (once per quarter) with the E.U. or to the U.S. for team meetings or conferences 

Bonus Skills

  • Understanding of GDPR, SOX, and similar legal framework requirements 
  • Exposure to data-governance tooling (Atlan, Collibra) and metadata management 
  • Experience in enterprise software or SaaS—especially data protection, cloud, or cybersecurity domains 
  • System knowledge of Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Tableau
