Our client is a fast-growing analytics consulting company helping organizations modernize their data ecosystems, elevate business intelligence, and make decisions rooted in high-quality insights. They work closely with executive teams to build scalable data foundations that support strategic growth across the business.
We’re looking for a Databricks Architect to serve as the project's first technical hire in the data/BI domain. This is a high-visibility, strategic position where you’ll architect the analytics foundation, shape data practices, and work directly with leadership to bring data-driven decision-making to life. You’ll own everything from pipelines to dashboard strategy—laying the groundwork for a world-class data ecosystem.
Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks for clean, reliable data processing.
Build Power BI dashboards for executive audiences, translating strategy into clear visual insights.
Collaborate with analysts, stakeholders, and leadership to understand requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
Develop real-time or frequent-refresh data processes that support timely decision-making.
Optimize and maintain existing dashboards and pipelines for performance, accuracy, and usability.
Implement automated reporting workflows, including refresh scheduling, monitoring, and reliability.
Support and maintain cloud data infrastructure (storage, compute, data models) with a focus on scalability, governance, and security.
Serve as a bridge between business/leadership and technical teams, translating business needs into platform capabilities and translating technical possibilities back into business value.
Establish and champion foundational data/BI practices—including data modeling, metadata, documentation, and pipeline design—as the first technical hire in this area.
Expertise with Databricks (ETL/ELT pipelines, transformation, data processing).
Strong experience building Power BI dashboards and data models.
Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational or cloud data warehouses.
Ability to work independently, set technical direction, and collaborate with executive-level stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience working in fully remote environments.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), especially Azure data services.
Programming skills in Python or Scala.
Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, Looker).
Experience with data governance, data cataloging, or metadata management.
Prior experience collaborating across multiple time zones.

This position is 100% remote and open to candidates across Latin America only.
Availability from 7 AM to 2 PM EST is required to align with executive leadership and global team meetings. Outside of these core hours, you have flexibility.
