Data Product Manager (6-month FTC)

TLDR

Shape data products and insights that drive smarter decisions, ensuring teams have the intelligence to scale funding and optimize performance.

Who are Liberis?

At Liberis, our mission is to empower small and medium-sized businesses by removing finance as a friction to growth, delivering contextual, embedded financial solutions to support merchants at every stage of their business lifecycle.

The Role

As Data Product Manager, you’ll shape the products and insights that power smarter decisions across the business. Sitting at the intersection of business strategy, technical innovation, and customer impact, you’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle of our data products - ensuring teams have the intelligence they need to scale funding, optimise performance, and deliver exceptional partner experiences.

You’ll work closely with data scientists, analytics engineers, analysts, and senior stakeholders to turn complex data into high-impact, scalable products. This is a highly visible role with real influence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defining and championing a compelling data product vision and strategy aligned to Liberis’ growth ambitions
  • Owning and prioritising the data product roadmap, balancing impact, scalability, and feasibility
  • Designing scalable data models, analytics frameworks, and reporting architectures
  • Establishing clear success metrics, building dashboards, and tracking performance and data health
  • Leading the Data domain from a product perspective, partnering closely with Analytics Engineers and Analysts
  • Driving cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations and beyond - ensuring data enables smarter, faster decisions

What we think you'll need

  • Proven data product expertise – 5+ years in technical product management, with a strong focus on data products or data-driven domains. You’re comfortable operating in technically complex environments and partnering closely with engineers and data teams.
  • Fintech or financial services experience is a plus — particularly in fast-scaling or high-growth environments.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of the Google data stack, particularly BigQuery and Looker, with the ability to translate data capabilities into business impact.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability – you thrive in ambiguity, break down complex challenges into structured approaches, and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
  • Influential stakeholder leadership – you communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and can align diverse teams around a shared data vision.
  • Bias for action in fast-moving environments – you’re comfortable working iteratively, balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform thinking to continuously unlock business value.

What happens next?

Think this sounds like the right next move for you? Or if you’re not completely confident that you fit our exact criteria, apply anyway and we can arrange a call to see if the role is fit for you. Humility is a wonderful thing, and we are interested in hearing about what you can add to Liberis!

Our hybrid approach

Working together in person helps us move faster, collaborate better, and build a great Liberis culture. Our hybrid working policy requires team members to be in the office at least 3 days a week, but ideally 4 days. At Liberis, we embrace flexibility as a core part of our culture, while also valuing the importance of the time our teams spend together in the office.
