Role overview -
The Data Entry Operator will support the Research & Publication Wing by digitizing, organizing, and maintaining accurate patient and surgical data required for research and publication purposes. This role is crucial for ensuring data quality, consistency, and traceability.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Enter and update clinical, surgical, and outcome data into structured databases or Excel trackers.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of patient datasets for research projects.
  • Maintain confidential and anonymized data records as per ethical standards.
  • Cross-check data with discharge summaries, operative notes, and pathology reports.
  • Coordinate with clinical writer and doctors to extract required data points for studies.
  • Prepare monthly data summaries for ongoing research projects.
  • Support digital archiving of research documents, images, and consent forms.

Requirements

  • Graduate in Science / Commerce / IT or related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in hospital data entry or research documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data management tools.
  • Basic understanding of medical terms (training will be provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Skills -

  • Experience with EMR/HIS systems (e.g., Athma, HealthPlix, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data privacy and patient confidentiality norms.
  • Willingness to work in an academic–clinical environment.
