As a Data Engineering Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of marketing data systems that enable precise measurement and actionable insights. You will oversee the end-to-end architecture of data pipelines, attribution frameworks, and analytics-ready datasets, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance with privacy regulations. You will manage internal teams and external vendors, translating complex marketing requirements into robust technical solutions. By improving workflows, implementing advanced tracking systems, and mentoring team members, you will enhance the organization’s data infrastructure and drive better campaign performance. This position offers the opportunity to shape data strategies, support cross-functional teams, and influence business decisions through high-quality, analytics-driven insights.
Accountabilities:
• Lead integrations between media platforms, CRM systems, and sales databases to connect marketing performance with business outcomes.
• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and SQL-based data models using dbt or similar frameworks.
• Develop and maintain centralized, scalable marketing data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Implement and maintain digital marketing tracking systems, including GA4, GTM, server-side tracking, and mobile measurement partners.
• Lead the design and deployment of attribution frameworks, including multi-touch, cross-channel, and incrementality models.
• Manage internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment with technical standards, data governance, and delivery timelines.
• Troubleshoot data flow, dashboard, and pipeline issues, providing clear solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure privacy compliance, maintaining GDPR, CCPA, and iOS ATT frameworks and resolving consent-related issues.
• Collaborate with analytics and paid media teams to evolve attribution logic and optimize campaign measurement.
• Educate and mentor media, analytics, and data teams on interpreting tracking data, attribution, and optimization best practices.
Requirements
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience implementing and managing marketing and analytics tracking systems.
• 5+ years of data engineering or analytics engineering experience, including SQL-based modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and dbt or equivalent frameworks.
• Proven experience implementing multi-touch attribution, data-driven attribution (DDA), or media mix modeling.
• Deep understanding of digital marketing ecosystems, campaign data structures, and platform APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Familiarity with marketing data integration tools (Fivetran, Supermetrics, Funnel, Hightouch) preferred.
• Experience with web and CRM platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, HubSpot).
• Knowledge of privacy frameworks and experience managing compliance tools.
• Ability to independently build and troubleshoot data pipelines and communicate solutions clearly.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing teams and coordinating external vendors.
• Comfortable working across multiple time zones, U.S. East Coast preferred.
Benefits
• Competitive salary range: $130,000–$140,000 annually.
• Fully remote work environment (East Coast hours).
• Standard benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• Short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and 401(k) plan.
• Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) and 10 company-paid holidays.
• Opportunities for professional growth, skill development, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Inclusive and equal opportunity workplace committed to diversity and fairness.
