What You’ll Be Doing as a Data Engineer Consultant

You will be responsible for implementing the fundamentals of data systems and developing the infrastructure to store, transform, and process data at scale and in the cloud. You’ll ensure secure data storage using the appropriate technologies. You will be surrounded by experts from different fields and learn from different environments and industries. It’s not always easy, but it is always rewarding.

You will be working on projects of varying length. Some are three weeks, some are one year, most are in between. Every project is different, as is every client. You'll work with the customer in teams mixed by Xebians and the client, and pick up work related to the backbone the team is building on. 

When on-site with clients, you may encounter something that is very difficult to solve. At Xebia we work as a team and we've got your back. Everyone is just a message away and ready to help! We say People First, and we mean it.

What are we looking for

The Data Engineer role is a senior position that is integral to our’ teams, so we ask for at least 3 years of relevant work experience. That said, we’re always open to talent that stands out! If you have unique achievements, like contributing to open-source projects or founding your own startup, we encourage you to apply, no matter your experience level.

✅If you understand the importance of cloud (any of AWS, Azure, or GCP) and know your way around, or want to learn.
✅If you like working for different clients and enjoy learning new environments and meeting new people on a regular basis.
✅ You live in the Netherlands (we are not relocating at the moment)
