About Fam (previously FamPay)
Fam is India's first payments app for everyone above 11. FamApp helps make online and offline payments through UPI and FamCard. We are on a mission to raise a new, financially aware generation, and drive 250 million+ youngest users in India to kickstart their financial journey super early in their life.
Founded in 2019 by IIT Roorkee alumni, Fam is backed by some of the most respected investors around the world like Elevation Capital, Y-Combinator, Peak XV (Sequoia Capital) India, Venture Highway, Global Founder’s Capital and the likes of Kunal Shah, Amrish Rao as angel investors.
On the Job
Design and implement efficient data pipelines, ETL processes, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Build the different components of Data Platform from scratch (Data Lakehouse, Serving & Query infrastructure, Event Streaming Platform, etc).
Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of data pipelines, platforms, and data infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs for data pipelines and data models.
Must Haves
B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Previous internship experience in a product-based company or startup
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good to Haves
Proficiency in Python or GoLang.
Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling fundamentals.
Demonstrated interest in Data Engineering through previous internship experience or personal projects.
Experience with analytical databases, data warehousing & data integration. Familiarity with ETL concepts and structured data formats such as CSV, JSON, Avro and Parquet.
Working knowledge of AWS
Contributions to open-source projects or GSoC
