About the Data Tribe
The Data Tribe is a high-impact, cross-functional team within the Epos Now Engineering division. We’re responsible for building and evolving the data infrastructure that powers insight-driven decisions across the organisation. From streamlining reporting pipelines to architecting scalable data platforms, our focus is delivering high-quality, accessible data to every corner of the business.


The Role
As a Data Engineer (IC4) in our Data Tribe, you’ll play a senior technical role in building and optimising Epos Now’s modern data platform. This is a hands-on position requiring deep technical expertise, but also a strategic mindset as we shift our analytics foundation to a new AWS-based data warehouse.

You’ll be a key player in enabling analytics, building internal data tools, and ensuring the platform is reliable, scalable, and secure—paving the way for smarter business decisions and operational excellence.

Key Skills
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and automation

Experience with Azure data services and business intelligence tooling

Familiarity with containerisation technologies like Docker (desirable)

Hands-on knowledge of AWS data services (e.g. Redshift, Glue, S3)

Proficiency in Power BI or similar analytics/reporting tools (desirable)


Experience with SQL Server (desirable)

Key Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver actionable insights from diverse data sources (Azure, Salesforce, and others)

Lead the migration of reporting infrastructure to a modern AWS-based data warehouse

Design and implement robust ETL pipelines and data models

Monitor and optimise data flows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency

Contribute to best practices for data governance, quality, and documentation

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers within the team
