About the Role

Our client is a rapidly expanding global consumer internet platform, serving hundreds of millions of users worldwide across content, community, e-commerce, and advertising ecosystems. As the company grows its international presence, data has become a crucial foundation for decision-making, growth, and monetisation. This role is central to building a next-generation global data platform, supporting everything from user growth to commercial optimisation. You will be instrumental in designing and scaling enterprise-grade data warehouse architecture and governance systems, enabling business teams across regions to operate in a truly data-driven manner.

Key Responsibilities

Foundational Data Platform & Common Data Layer
- Design, build, and maintain the company’s foundational data platform and shared data layers.
- Deliver general-purpose, stable, and high-performance data capabilities across core business domains, including:
- Community/content ecosystem
- E-commerce
- Advertising
- Improve the overall efficiency of data-driven business operations.

Domain Data Warehousing & Data Products
- Deeply engage with business domains to lead the development of domain-specific data warehouses.
- Build data products and analytical models.
- Deliver accurate and reliable datasets and user-friendly data services.
- Directly support strategic decision-making and daily business operations.

Data Governance Framework
- Establish and implement a company-wide data governance system.
- Integrate business requirements, metadata management, and technical implementation.
- Continuously optimise data resource costs, data quality and consistency, data security, and data pipeline stability.

Requirements

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.

Data Warehouse Engineering Expertise
- Strong hands-on experience in data warehouse development.
- Deep understanding of the full data lifecycle, including data integration, data modeling, and data serving/consumption layers.
- Proven ability to continuously optimise data systems and deliver tangible business value.

Data Governance & Modeling
- Strong understanding of core data management and governance principles, including:
- Data governance frameworks
- Data standards
- Enterprise data modeling
- Metadata management
- Master data management (MDM)

Big Data & Pipeline Engineering
- Strong proficiency in big data ecosystem technologies.
- Hands-on experience building real-time and batch data pipelines.
- Practical experience with multiple technologies such as Hive, Kafka, Spark, Flink, and HBase.

Problem Solving & Collaboration
- Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong logical thinking and ability to solve complex problems.

Language & Work Environment
- Ability to work effectively in an English-speaking environment (written and spoken).
- Comfortable collaborating with global teams.

Location Requirement
- Singapore Citizens / PRs preferred.
