Aryng is looking for a Consultant – Data Engineering with proven expertise in building and delivering enterprise-class distributed data solutions on the cloud. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and technology-proficient professional who can design, architect, and implement scalable data platforms, batch and real-time pipelines, and advanced analytics solutions for Aryng’s clients.

This role is based out of India (100% remote), and you will work closely with a team of data scientists, business analysts, and engineers, while also engaging directly with client stakeholders. Your biggest strengths are solution ownership, leadership, and creative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, high-performance data engineering solutions.
• Architect and optimize asynchronous data ingestion, high-volume streaming pipelines, and real-time analytics.
• Define and enforce data engineering best practices, governance, and quality standards across projects.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and drive adoption.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and associate consultants in technical execution.
• Manage project delivery, timelines, and risks while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Build solutions leveraging modern cloud technologies (AWS preferred; GCP and Azure experience also valued).
• Drive innovation by evaluating new tools, platforms, and methodologies in the data engineering ecosystem.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on data engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
• Strong experience in SQL, Python, and distributed data processing frameworks.
• Expertise with data warehouses and data lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, DBT).
• Proven experience in designing end-to-end data pipelines (batch and real-time).
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and performance optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients: requirement gathering, solutioning, presentations, and delivery ownership.
• Experience in project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and leading small-to-medium technical teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

Good to Have

• Experience with orchestration and streaming frameworks (Airflow, Kafka, Apache Beam, Spark, Hadoop).
• Exposure to BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Prior consulting experience in a client-facing role.
• Certifications in AWS/GCP/Azure.

• Available to join immediately

This role requires mandatory overlap hours with clients in the US from 7:30 PM to 1 AM IST.
