What you will do

As a Data Engineer at Wundermart, you’ll be part of the Business Intelligence & Data Science team, responsible for designing and maintaining the data infrastructure that fuels analytics and operations across Europe.

You will build scalable data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform, integrating both internal and external data sources through tools like Airbyte and Airflow.

You’ll work closely with our Data Scientist to make sure data is reliable, accessible, and ready for insights — and you’ll have the freedom to propose and implement new ideas that make our ecosystem smarter and more efficient.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines within the Google Cloud environment.

  • Integrate external and internal data sources using Airbyte, Airflow, or similar tools.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across the organization.

  • Collaborate with the BI & Data Science team to deliver clean, structured datasets.

  • Monitor data processes and continuously look for automation and improvement opportunities.

  • Contribute to the evolution of Wundermart’s data infrastructure and best practices.

Requirements

What you can bring

  • Background in computer science, data engineering, or IT.

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.

  • Strong experience with SQL and Python.Experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, etc.).

  • Familiarity with Airflow, Airbyte, and data orchestration principles.

  • Understanding of CI/CD, data modeling, and pipeline automation.

  • You enjoy taking initiative, testing new ideas, and building things from scratch.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

  • Available to work at least 3 days per week at our HQ in Amsterdam.
