💼 Position Overview
SpryPoint builds fantastic web and mobile applications using cutting-edge technologies. As a Data Developer at SpryPoint, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data reporting solutions, leveraging tools such as Metabase. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for reporting and analytics purposes. This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing our clients' operations.
🛠 Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to support reporting and analytics requirements
Implement and manage reporting solutions using tools like Metabase, ensuring user-friendly dashboards and visualizations
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights through reports
Perform data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation to prepare datasets for reporting purposes
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and reporting processes to ensure reliability and performance
Work closely with team members to support data-driven decision-making initiatives
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, reporting, and analytics
🎓 Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Relevant certifications in data management, database administration, or data analytics are a plus
Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
Experience with data visualization tools like Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI
Strong understanding of database design, data modelling, and ETL processes
Experience with Python programming language is preferred, and some understanding of API development is considered a bonus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
