👋About Boundless Life
Boundless Life empowers remote workers to experience — with their families — the nomad lifestyle many people without children have been enjoying for years. It creates a complete “live abroad” immersive experience for families looking to get the most of what the digital age and the world can offer. Through family-friendly lodging and a cutting-edge education system that follows the children wherever they go, Boundless brings together a community of like-minded families who want to explore the planet while working remotely and having a positive impact on their lives and the world.
Since we were founded in 2021, we have quickly grown to 7 locations across three continents and more than 180 team members of different nationalities.
We’re continuing to grow at a fast pace. This year alone we’re opening 2 new locations, and have ambitious goals to empower people to have more fulfilling lives by designing a lifestyle enabling balance, growth and deeper connections with ourselves, our families, nature and the world.
🙌The role
The Data, Competencies & Innovation Specialist ensures that Boundless delivers consistent, data-backed, high-quality, and future-ready learning experiences across all locations.
This full-time role integrates competency-based frameworks into programs, translates data into actionable improvements, and pilots innovative approaches to teaching and assessment. By aligning systems, embedding the Whole Child Framework, and supporting educators with the right tools, this role strengthens both quality assurance and innovation across the network.
In addition, this person will oversee or co-lead the development of Boundless’ skills-based microcredential and badging system to ensure alignment with the Boundless Student Profile, data systems, and growth frameworks.
The specialist also leads the evolution of Boundless’s data and competency systems — managing Toddle 2.0 (or its successor), ensuring accurate and consistent data collection, and helping every Education Centre Director and educator use data effectively to improve learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Competency Integration
- Lead the design, refinement, and implementation of frameworks that embed competency-based, growth-focused rubrics across all age groups.
- Align educator planning, assessment, and feedback cycles to Boundless’s ability-based and Whole Child frameworks to measure growth, not static mastery.
- Review and ensure alignment of all curriculum and rubrics with international standards and best practices, maintaining quality and coherence across destinations.
- Collaborate with Program Specialists to integrate competencies into interdisciplinary and place-based learning goals.
- Design educator-facing tools (e.g., rubric descriptors, Growth Tracker guidance, Toddle frameworks) that make competencies visible, measurable, and actionable.
Innovation & Data-Driven Improvement
- Translate data into meaningful insights and creative, evidence-based improvements that elevate learning and teaching quality across all Boundless locations.
- Oversee Toddle 2.0 (or future platforms), including backend setup, system optimization, and continuous improvement for capturing educator plans, competencies, and assessment data.
- Ensure ECDs and educators are consistently using systems to input and maintain high-quality data that drives decision-making.
- Lead the evaluation, migration, and management of digital platforms for data and competency tracking, ensuring alignment with Boundless needs.
- Lead or collaborate on the design and rollout of Boundless’ Microcredentials & Badging System, ensuring integration with existing competency frameworks and data tools.
- Pilot and refine innovative approaches to interdisciplinary assessment, growth tracking, and competency-based reporting.
Feedback & Data Cycles
- Lead the design, deployment, and analysis of educator, student, and family surveys to gather meaningful insights.
- Establish feedback loops that translate data into clear, practical actions for improvement.
- Facilitate data-sharing moments with teams to connect quantitative and qualitative insights to strategic goals.
- Summarize student progress and growth data at the end of each cohort, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Teacher Evaluation & Implementation Support
- Support the rollout of teacher evaluation systems grounded in growth and competencies.
- Provide ongoing training and technical guidance to ECDs, educators, and Program Specialists to ensure consistency in data and competency practices.
- Collaborate with the Head of Education Operations, Head of Program & Learning Design, and Program Specialists to align systems, address gaps, and ensure quality across programs.
Special Projects & Collaboration
- Support the Program & Learning Design (PLD) team with special projects and emerging initiatives as needed.
- Provide research, coordination, and creative input to help pilot new programs or refine existing systems that align with Boundless’s evolving educational model.
