The Data Center Logistics Specialist manages end-to-end logistics and asset lifecycle operations for hyper-scale datacenter infrastructure. They ensure accurate inventory management, efficient material flow, and seamless support to datacenter operations through coordination of receiving, shipping, asset tracking, and vendor management.
Maintain comprehensive asset tracking from receipt through decommissioning; execute asset tagging, labeling, and data entry in asset management databases
Manage receiving and shipping of equipment, components, and materials; verify quantities, inspect for damage, and update tracking systems in real-time
Perform regular cycle audits and physical inventory counts to maintain 99%+ accuracy; monitor stock levels and proactively resolve shortages to support build, repair, and deployment activities
Fulfill parts requests from datacenter technicians and engineers quickly and accurately; maintain organized staging areas for deployment, break-fix, and project materials
Interface with vendors to process RMAs, warranty claims, and equipment replacements; coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors and delivery personnel
Generate inventory reports, metrics dashboards, and analytics on performance, turns, and obsolescence; document processes and support continuous improvement initiatives
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business
3+ years in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain in technology or manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL, or data analysis tools for reporting
Experience at hyperscale providers or large colocation operators
Experience with inventory management systems, ERP systems, and asset tracking databases with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of IT hardware (servers, storage, networking) and datacenter components
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally
