The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for providing high level technical support and troubleshooting, while working with a team of dynamic professionals who are driven to provide exemplary service delivery to customers and clientele.

Requirements

  • Responsible for helping drive and support service delivery for customers throughout the deployment lifecycle (plan, design, implement, optimize, document).
  • Sophisticated troubleshooting abilities consisting of Data Center Services, Switching and Computing support.
  • Ability to apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and software problems of moderate to high complexity.
  • Staging and Implementation of the technologies listed.
  • Ability to determine root cause and resolution for previously unknown problems and to the customers satisfaction.
  • Provide project status on a regular basis, while answering customer questions timely and professionally.
  • Create project deliverables such as requirements documents, cabling details, cutover plans, resiliency test plans, and drawings.
  • Provide informal customer knowledge transfer if required.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 + years’ experience demonstrating a significant level of expertise in Storage and Virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with Storage, Compute, Virtualization, and Hyper-converged abilities.
  • Must have Cohesity experience
  • Experience with Cisco UCS, Nutanix, VMware
  • Background with Fibre Channel switching (MDS, Nexus FCoE, Brocade).
  • Skilled in Ethernet switching as it pertains to IP storage & hypervisor host connectivity.
  • Experience with Cisco HyperFlex HX. + include Pure Storage, VMware Horizon View, VMware Site Recovery Manager a plus.
  • A general understanding of Layer 3 Routing Protocols.
  • Additional technologies that may be encountered include Veeam, Dell-EMC VxRail/VxRack, VMware vSAN, VMware vRealize Operations Manager
