So, what’s the role all about?
As a Data Center and Circuit Provisioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of our data center facilities. You will be responsible for managing the infrastructure that supports our data center, including servers, storage, networking, and power systems. Additionally, you will design, implement, and troubleshoot carrier circuits to ensure optimal data flow and connectivity. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and security of our data center operations, while supporting the business needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain data center operations, including servers, storage, networking, and power systems.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of data center infrastructure.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for data center operations and maintenance.
- Monitor and analyze data center performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to support business needs and projects.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for data center services and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Design and implement data circuits for data center infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data circuit issues to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and power systems, and cabling.
- Proficiency in data circuit design and implementation.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving data circuit issues.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain database of equipment inventory and locations.
